“Soft tissue injury for both Rueben and Damari. Should be a week, maybe two. They’re two of our best players, and we’ll miss them, but they’ll be back soon,” Cristobal said. “As for [Rodriguez], he sprained his ankle but was walking around looking pretty good. We’re optimistic that his injury isn’t too serious.”
Given Miami’s upcoming schedule, which includes matchups against Florida A&M and Ball State, the team may have the opportunity to rest these key players without jeopardizing their chances. After their dominant performance against the Gators, allowing Bain and Brown some recovery time could be crucial as the Hurricanes set their sights on bigger goals for the season.
