Nick Nurse Makes Concerning Statement After 76ers’ Loss On Saturday
The Philadelphia 76ers entered the NBA season as a championship contender.
Adding Paul George to the mix gave them what they needed: Another elite scorer, a catch-and-shoot threat, and a wing who could play defense.
However, he suffered an injury in the preseason and has yet to suit up, all while Joel Embiid, their leader and best player, continues to deal with perennial knee ailments.
That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see that they’re 1-4 after five games.
Their only win came against the Indiana Pacers, and they’ve lost to some not-so-great teams.
Their woes were evident again in a 124-107 defeat to the visiting Memphis Grizzlies, and Nick Nurse doesn’t like this one bit.
After the loss, the former Toronto Raptors coach admitted that his team looked way too disconnected (via NBC Sports Philadelphia).
Nurse claimed that his guys are trying to do too much on offense, all while the defense looks out of sync.
